There’s no problem purchasing karaoke music from other websites or downloading free music files. However, when you download from other websites, you do not download directly into the kJams library. Rather, you download to your hard drive, and then index those music files into kJams. I recommend that you create a folder under kJams (but NOT under the ‘kJams Music” folder) for music that you download from other sites. For example, you might create a folder called Music Downloads. davequestion: not sure how to show folder hierarchy below

"My Music" folder
"kJams" folder
"kJams Music" folder (do NOT use this folder)
"Music Downloads" folder

Once you've downloaded the files, use the Add to Library Temp function to index your music.

Downloading Sample Songs

Sample songs that you download during installation are handled similarly. You first download them, and then you index them into kJams.

Meta Data

When you download music files from outside of kJams, you might find that your meta data is incomplete or messed up. If this is the case, click here for help. Fixing Tags Temps
