If you prefer a conversational style, you might like this exchange.

Warning

In doing this you will lose all your playlists, venues and singers.

How To

  1. Quit kJams
  2. Navigate to your "kJams" folder. (/Users/<you>/Music/kJams)
  3. Inside that folder you'll see the "kJams Library" folder. See it?
  4. Trash the "kJams Library" folder (or make a backup somewhere, alternately you can simply right click-create archive it, and put a tilde (~) in front of the archive name, THEN delete the original folder.
  5. If you had previously added to library picking "copy" (not "reference"), and if you never "ripped" from disc or "purchased" from a built in store, and you still have your original song files (from before you copied), and you wish to instead "reference" the songs (rather than copy), then trow out the "kJams Music" folder as well.
  6. Run kJams
  7. Any songs you've previously "ripped", "purchased", or "copied" will automatically add to the library.
  8. Now "Add to Library" any other folders you need.

That's it!

Do NOT throw out "kJams CDs" or "kJams Musc" or anything else you find at the same level
