ShowScreens/Rotation/Update

Update

Windows Only: As of Feb 11, 2015, kJams has updated the Rotation ShowScreens Files such that the title can take up two lines, this way they look good when translated to non-english languages.

How to Update

The easiest way is to click the "Update" button when kJams asks, but do this only if you have not modified the ShowScreens. Note that if you don't know what that means, then you haven't modified them, and you can just click "Update".

If you HAVE modified them, then do this:

1. decline to update them when it asks
2. let kJams finish launching
3. go to the menu bar and pick "Help->Reveal Preferences"
4. quit kJams
5. in the window revealed, go into the folder "Producer Templates"
6. make a backup copy of these files:

   ~Lava Lounge Rotation.xml
   ~Rotation (one singer).xml
   ~Rotation (only singer names).xml
   ~Rotation.xml
   ~Three Person Whos Up.xml

7. run kJams
8. it will ask to update
9. click "Update"
10. quit kJams
11. diff the backups against the new copies, move any changes you made to the new copies
