A Launch File is a file that automatically opens outside of kJams whenever a particular song is played. For example, you may have lyrics sheets that are text documents that you want displayed when you play a song. Or you may want a photograph to come up. Or each song may have its own script that runs, doing something unique, like setting stage lighting or playing a movie in QuickTime.
Launch files are song-specific; and each song can have its own launch file.
I suggest you experiment with this. You might just come up with some great ideas. davequestion: Is there any way to see that a launch file is attached to a song, or do you just have to play it to find out?
To set a launch file:
- Select the song.
- Advanced → Special → Set Launch file
- Select your file and click on Open.
To remove the launch file:
- Select the song.
- Advanced → Special → Clear Launch file
