In order for me to be able to look in on your computer, you'll need to login to my VPN, and you'll also need to enable "Apple Remote Desktop". If you want to iChat we'll need to cover that too.
VPN
- go to internet connect (/Applications/Internet Connect
- make a new VPN connection (PPTP)
- server address: kjams.com
- account name: vpn
- password: sent to your email
- hit connect
You should be connected now to my VPN
"Apple Remote Desktop"
Assumes you are either directly connected to the internet (not behind a router) or you are connected via VPN (see above)
- Apple->System Preferences
- Sharing
- Check the box next to "Apple Remote Desktop"
- click the "Access Privileges…" button
- check the box next to "Guests may request premission to control the screen"
- click okay
iChat
If you do not have a .Mac or AIM account, then you can use my iChat server. Assumes you are connected via VPN.
- run iChat
- new account (in the prefs, the little "+" button)
