Migrating from kJams 32bit to 64bit
- run kJams 32bit one last time
- in the help menu, pick "deactivate computer"
- this will free up your license from the 32bit version, provide your license file, and further instructions
- if you are on a mac (and same computer):
- upgrade your OS from Mojave to an OS that is at least 2 revisions lower than the most up to date.
- eg: as of the day of this writing, the latest macOS is 26. Before that was macOS 15, and before that was macOS 14.
- that means you SHOULD upgrade your mac to at least macOS 14 (or later, later is better)
- kJams MAY work on earlier versions, eg: macOS 13, but support may be limited
- if your mac won't update to a supported OS, you may need to get an updated mac. Ebay has'm for cheap
- if you're on a NEW computer (not the same as the one running 32bit)
- clone your kJams folder to the new computer
- now, download the 64bit edition of the kJams that you had
- now follow the activation instructions
