Chrome Remote Desktop is great, secure, and easy to set up.

If you don't have Chrome yet

  1. install chrome
  2. run it
  3. i pick "google" as my search engine
  4. skip to step 2 in the next section

If you have Chrome but don't have the "Remote Desktop" app

  1. Run Chrome
  2. paste this URL in: https://karaoke.kjams.com/wiki/IChat/Chrome and continue this list from within Chrome
  3. now from within Chrome, click here to get to the App page Remote Desktop App
  4. if that doesn't work do these sub-steps:
    1. Click Here
    2. then search for "chrome remote desktop" INCLUDING the quotes

    3. click the app

  5. click "Add to Chrome"

  6. it may ask you to Sign In, if so, follow these sub-steps:
    1. Sign in to google if you need to

    2. go to step 3
  7. google will ask if you really want to install the plugin, click "install":

  8. you'll now have a new App. Click it.

  9. it will ask you to authorize the remote desktop app, click "Continue"

  10. it will ask if you are totally serious about this, click "Allow access"

  11. skip to step 4, below

If you have Chrome and the "Remote Desktop" app

  1. Run Chrome
  2. create a new tab, then at the bottom, click the "Apps" section button

  3. click the "Chrome Remote Desktop" App.

  4. now you're ready, click "Share This Computer"

  5. it will initiate a code generation

  6. it then show you the generated code
