I never did do a kickstarter to get this port done. I don't know if you can imagine what 4 years of part time work (aside from my full-time job) is like, with no income to offset my time. Yes the 32bit version of kJams sells a few every month but in no way does it pay for my time spent developing the 64bit version. The Alpha version does not come with an installer, it's just a Zip file.
If you just download it from the web site, you first must unzip it.
Mac Instructions
- Unzip the file if that hasn't already been done
- Drag the app into the "Applications" folder
- When the Finder asks if you want to replace the one that is there, say yes
Windows Instructions
- Unzip the file if that hasn't already been done
- Drag the app into the "Program Files" folder
- When Windows Explorer says there are files with the same name, click "Replace"
- To create a "Shortcut File" the first time you install follow these instructions.
- Install the K-Lite Codec pack for h.264 playback
