Importing to MailChimp
new (Paddle)
- find the date of last import
- go to mailchimp
- click "audience" icon on left side (little crowd)
- click "all contacts" on left
- sort by "Date Added" *descending* (you have to click twice)
- under "Source", ignore any at the top that say "Hosted Signup Form"
- scroll down to find the first "List Import from CSV"
- make note of that date
- get data from paddle:
- go to paddle
- click "reports"
- from "select report" pick "transactions"
- select date range starting with day of last import, end with today
- order status "completed" (leave the rest on "all")
- click "execute report"
- wait for email or click refresh 'till it's ready
- download it
- import to mailchimp:
- go back to mailchimp
- audience->all contacts->add contacts->import contacts
- click "upload a file"
- browse->go to downloads folder->select the CSV file->continue
- for "Tag your contacts" just enter today's date
- go thru the wizard
- to send out mailing:
- click "restart your plan" at top of page
old (eSellerate)
- in email, ensure the mailbox "kJams->kJams Store->Convert" has the correct date range
- run kJams, debug->mail->file <-- see GeoData.txt on desktop, you can then use this to geocode for map
- if you get a -5000 (afpAccessDenied) error you can copy "Convert.mbox" to the desktop, and recompile using the 2nd "CONVERT_PATH" constant
- go to MailChimp.com->audience->manage audience->import contacts->use settings from last import->browse
- pick "GeoData.txt"
- go through every column assigning a column name (god why don't they remember this shit?)
- finish the import
