The Alpha version does not come with an installer, it's just a Zip file.

# double click the ".dmg" file to open it
# If you are on Mojave (10.14) or earlier: Drag the app onto the "Desktop" (not the "Applications" folder, cuz you don't want to replace the 32bit version which lives there)
# If you are on Catalina (10.15) or later: Drag the app icon into the provided "Applications" folder alias
# If the Finder asks if you want to replace the one that is there, say yes.  
# wait for the copy to complete
# go to the File menu and pick "Eject"


If you just download it from the web site, you first [https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+unzip+a+file must unzip it].
You may now launch kJams normally (it is in your Applications folder, or your Dock if you put an icon there for it.

Mac Instructions
