If the graphics for a song don't exactly line up with the audio, you can slip the graphics into the past or future with the Sync-Slippping commands in the Control menu. Slip Back is used when the graphic is ahead of the music, and it moves the graphics into the “past.” Slip Forward is used when the graphic is behind the music, and it moves the graphics into the “future.”

Here’s how you slip the graphics:

#Control → Sync/Slipping
#Click on Song Slip Back or Song Slip Forward. The graphic will move one-tenth of a second in the direction indicated. (The audio keeps playing without interruption.)
#Click until the graphic is synced with the audio.

Here’s what you need to know about slipping graphics:
*Slip values are in seconds and the default increment is one-tenth of a second.
*Each song permanently remembers its slip value, so once you set it, you can forget it.
*You can show the slip values for all songs by displaying the column for that meta data. Right click on any column name, then select Slip from the popup menu. Slip values are in seconds and the default increment is one tenth of a second.
*When you export to QuickTime, song slipping values are preserved.
*When burning discs, no slipping is applied. (Dumb, I know. Please let me know if you need this.)
*When editing with Producer, NO slipping is applied at all, so to see the song WITH your slip settings, you must exit Producer.
