	~~Some time soon~~, kJams will switch to ~~an optional~~ "Subscription Model". ~~I say~~ optional because there will be no requirement for existing users to switch, you will be free to continue using your perpetual license, which will never be revoked. However, ~~there will come a time when~~ new ~~updates~~ will ~~no longer~~ be ~~available to existing perpetual licenses~~, ~~except for~~ critical bug fixes.		Within the next couple of months, kJams will switch to a "Subscription Model". However, no new development will be done on the older editions, only critical bug fixes. I will continue to make updates for at least 6 months.

	~~Note this~~ is not related to licensing ~~at this time~~. ie: if you subscribe, it won't cause kJams to have a license, and if you unsubscribe, it won't remove your existing perpetual license. ~~If you just purchased kJams, feel free to wait a year before "subscribing" since in effect you just paid for a full year up front~~. ~~Of course, feel free~~ to ~~subscribe anyway~~, to ~~"support the cause" ;-~~) ~~In the future it'll be built in, and WILL manage your license~~.		Currently the Patreon subscription is not related to licensing. ie: if you subscribe to Patreon, it won't cause kJams to have a license, and if you unsubscribe, it won't remove your existing perpetual license.

			The new system WILL manage your license. The new editions will be HomeParty (equivalent to Lite + Burning), and NightClub (equivalent to 2).

== What is an "index entry"? ==

Each song in your kJams '''Library''' has a unique '''song ID''' (index entry). That is separate from a '''playlist item''' (a reference to a song in a rotation list, custom playlist, singer list, etc.).

Sometimes the same physical media file is imported or added more than once, creating multiple library index entries (different song IDs) that all point at the '''same file on disk'''. This command finds those duplicates and consolidates them.
